Letterpress I (Mondays)

This introductory workshop offers you a thorough introduction to hand typesetting and presswork. Essential for any beginning printer or printmaker, we will cover the basics of design, typography, illustration, and operation of the Vandercook press. We will begin printing on the first evening of class on a pre-selected project, and then you will design and print a small project of your own. This is an excellent workshop for beginners and for those who wish to gain additional experience with presses.
