Event: Mosaic on a Stick (FREE!)

I've been waiting to post something about this place and right now is the perfect time because there is an open mosaic studio! I was invited to this place with my mom's company last year and had a blast making a mirror mosaic that now hangs in my house. The base cost for a usual event is $150 for 5 people.Each additional person is $30. BUT NOW IT'S FREE!

Lori Greene at Mosaic on a Stick has decided that the recession is for the birds, and we should all connect and make some great art together! For the first time ever, she is opening her studio to all comers for an open studio day! That means access to the supplies, and tools usually reserved for people having a mosaic party! You will have to bring your own substrate to stick stuff on or buy a mirror or picture frame there, and if you want to purchase anything from the retail part of the store, of course, you can.

Of course, Mosaic On A Stick is located in St. Paul in the State Fair corridor at 595 North Snelling Avenue. (Otherwise the name wouldn't be nearly as cool or fitting.)

From I-94, take the exit for Snelling Avenue. Go North on Snelling. Mosaic On A Stick is 4 blocks North of University on the corner of Snelling and Thomas.
