Swanson Homes and Realty Seeking a Graphic Designer

Swanson Homes and Realty of Eau Claire. We would like to employ the assistance of a graphic design student that is creative and uses the most current technology available in industrial media in order to prepare a Power Point presentation built for a Real Estate franchise opportunity with Better Homes and Gardens. This is an urgent request as we need to have a presentation put together no later than Monday morning 09/28. This project should take between two and four hours and we are willing to meet the student on the Stout campus over the weekend. This would be a great way for someone to add to their portfolio and resume and gain a positive reference for the future. I have listed a few sites to get a better idea of who we are working with and some of the concepts that are relevant in the local real estate market.

Ted.com, when using this site run a search for Daivd Rose to see a model presentation.

Listed Local is a site we currently use to market local property and the site was designed by jetpack.com.

This is a very date sensitive project – deadline is Monday!

If you are interested, please respond ASAP to Matt Meixner at mjmeixner@yahoo.com or at 715.577.9925

Olsen Design seeking a summer intern

One of Stout's grads who works at Olson Design in MSP called to ask my why no Stout people have applied. If you are interested in an internship for the summer--get your digital book to these people now because they are making a decision this week.

Contact kwolf@oco.com - Karl was a bit upset that he saw no Stout interest.

It looks like on their site that the Web Development Internship was due May 5th... Not sure if that's the position they are trying to fill.

Serve Marketing seeing a part time intern

Serve is a nonprofit advertising/marketing agency whose mission is to give under served charitable causes a stronger voice in the community. Since 2002, Serve has helped create behavior-changing marketing campaigns for over 30 non-profits, both locally and nationally, on issues ranging from teen homelessness, child sexual violence and shaken baby syndrome to teen pregnancy, ovarian cancer and gun violence. To date, Serve has donated over $11 million of in-kind creative, media, web, pr and strategic planning services to non-profits, in an effort to raise their profile and increase their impact in ours and other local communities.

We are looking for students who are able to work in a fast paced environment, have an outgoing, passionate personality, and can multitask. Determination to get the job done is a must. This position allows students to wear many hats and helps to define which areas (like PR, Sales, Production, Marketing, etc) interest them. This is a great opportunity for students to make contacts within the marketing and advertising communities in Milwaukee.

This internship would require a 15-20 hour weekly commitment and is paid.

Students should contact Brittin Haury

BigDotofHappiness seeking Entry Level Graphic Designer.

Sherri Yukel over at Big Dot of Happiness is seeking an Entry Level Graphic Designer. They are located halfway between the school and the hospital off of Stout Road.

They are looking for an email marketing designer and a basic entry level product development designer to fit the look and feel of their product lines.

If your curious about Big Dot of Happiness and what your possible roles would be just e-mail Sherri. sherri@BigDotOfHappiness.com 800.274.4282 x 203

This is a great opportunity. We just got done with portfolio 1 on 1 in the cities and very few companies are using interns this summer let alone hiring designers. Plus it's right in Menomonie so how closer could you get? From the looks of it, Big Dot of Happiness kind of reminds me of Gartner Studios in Stillwater which was the parent company of my past internship. Just being around this type of thing will open your eyes and will be such a great experience. Plus, how cool would it be if people can buy the things you helped designed?
